Knitting Group
Wednesdays | 6:30 PM
— in the Library.
We are an informal group who hand knit. Many of us make prayer shawls, which are presented
with love and prayer for people who have special concerns or who are celebrating
a special event. You do not need to know how to knit to join this group; we will
teach you.
Open to all.
Shawls embrace all cultures and people, both men and women, throughout history.
They comfort and give solace; they hug and wrap. Learn
more about this ministry at the Shawl
Ministry website . . .

Yoga Fit
Thursdays
5:30 PM to 6:45 PM
— in the Music and Drama Room, second floor of the education
building.
Classes are offered in a seasonal schedule: please
call the the instructor, Cris (217.414.1288) — or email her
(fitprescription@hotmail.com)for more information.
Yogafit is suitable
for most healthy adults of all ages; modifications are
made for those with limitations. It benefits individuals
from all
backgrounds of fitness, from beginners to athletes. We learn to really
listen to the body,
feel it work and use breath to facilitate movement. Participants
are encouraged to stay within their own experience when practicing,
letting go of
competition or judgment.
Purchase six classes for $50.00 and
use them whenever wish: If you prefer to purchase as a single class, there is a drop-in charge of $10.00. If
you would like to try a class to see how yoga works for you,
there is no obligation for the first class. Please bring an exercise
mat, or thick towel for extra cushioning of the floor.
Open to
all.

— We are not academic! We
just enjoy the sounds of words and also the meanings in good poems. For us this is entertainment: Bring a favorite poem. Discussion and refreshments are included.

Holy Clippers
We invite you to join us in preserving and revitalizing this environment for all! The Courtyard Garden will include a patio, several new plants, and much improved landscape lighting. The lighted chapel windows will create a welcome bit of color and beauty in the evening. The new Peace and Meditation Garden in front of Cook Lounge will encourage passersby to stroll down a path of peace and harmony. A small meditation area at the end will provide a place of rest and reflection.
Contact Sharon Bilotti (217.787.4934) or email: gbilotti@midwest.net
For more information about the Holy Clippers and the garden project, download this PDF document.
