Wednesdays, February 21  through March 28
Lunchtime: 12:15 - 12:45 p.m. | in the Sanctuary

The half-hour - midday - free concerts offer a variety of musical presentations by the finest local and visiting artists. Artists have included a vocal chamber ensemble, an early music ensemble, organists, a brass ensemble, a soprano soloist, and a string quartet, among others. Emerging young artists are often highlighted in the Brown Bag Concerts, and they are additionally showcased in the annual Central Illinois Young Musicians' Concert each May.

The audience is invited to enjoy lunch during the concerts, and brown bag lunches may be purchased at the door for $5. You may bring your own lunch, if you wish.

We are grateful for your generous contributions, as your donations sustain this free concert series.

2018 Central Illinois Young Musicians' Annual Concert

May 6 | 4:00 p.m.

— an annual free concert of solo presentations — celebrating local young musicians in their award-winning performances. A reception in honor of the students follows. Everyone is welcome to attend.

2017 Goosebumps Organ Concert and Electronic Light Show

October 28 | 7:00 p.m.

Dress in costume, or in all black / all white, for this event, which will present dramatic and evocative music that will inspire and amaze.  All donations will go to Springfield's Salvation Army. Light refreshments follow. Read more . . .

Christmas Lessons and Carols with Abraham and Mary Lincoln 

Saturday, December 9, 2017 | 6:00 p.m., Prelude begins at 5:45 p.m.

Abraham and Mary Lincoln, portrayed by Fritz Klein and Pam Brown, will greet visitors  — and everyone is invited to attend in period costumes along with our musical guests. The evening offering will go to the Salvation Army to benefit the poor of Sangamon County. Refreshments, including Mary Lincoln's White Cake, will follow the service. Read more ...
